"Cactus" Part One

Reflecting on women's cooperatives in Palestine who use symbolic embroidery as a form of resistance. Taking a series of photographs of my local town undergoing regeneration, I transferred this onto fabric and embroidered a cactus onto it. 

Part two of this project was planting cacti around the area.

The cactus is often used as a symbol of resistance in Palestine.
